Fishing
Home to some of the best sports fishing in the world, the Virgin Islands is close to the famous "North Drop". As well as organized competitions and events, there are plenty of boats available for fishing charters and many of the islands dedicated yacht charter companies can kit your charter yacht out with all the gear you need.
Hiking
There are many excellent hiking venues in the Virgin Islands. Tortola has the cool slopes of Sage Mountain National Park, where traces of the primeval rain forest can still be seen at higher elevations.

Sailing
Sailing is without a doubt the Virgin Islands most popular tourist activity and with some of the most beautiful islands and scenic views in the world, it is easy to see why. The islands are home to hundreds of companies specializing in everything from day charters to month long bareboat charters. If you've never sailed before, many companies offer courses for a week, followed by a week sailing your own boat in a flotilla.
Shopping
Shopping in the Virgin Islands is a bit of an adventure. There are no shopping malls here, and familiar, multinational brand names are few and far between, but there are several excellent convenience and provisioning stores as well as many charming boutiques.
Surfing
If you know your barrel from your beach break then you'll feel right at home on one of the Virgin Islands many surf beaches.
